About QFT.org
QFT.org is a connected resource for students and researchers studying quantum field theory. Its aim is to make the subject learnable from first principles and useful in research: explain the physics, develop the calculations, state their limits, and make the supporting sources easy to check.
Find the right entry point
Section titled “Find the right entry point”- Start Here offers preparation checks and guided learning paths.
- Courses develops a graduate sequence through lessons and worked problems.
- The sixteen subject volumes, available from the Volumes menu, connect mathematical methods and field-theory foundations to gauge theory, condensed matter, curved spacetime, holography, and mathematical QFT.
- Research examines open problems and the evidence behind current approaches.
- Reference provides shorter routes to terminology, notation, formulas, models, and sources, with links to fuller treatments.
The site is still being developed and reviewed. Coverage is broad, but a page being available does not mean that every derivation, reference, or exercise has received the same depth of checking. Research treatments distinguish established results from approximations, conjectures, and open questions.
Maintenance and scientific editing
Section titled “Maintenance and scientific editing”QFT.org is maintained by Jie Ren. Much of the existing material was drafted with GPT-5.6. GPT-6 is now being used for scientific, educational, and technical revision, including editorial decisions about whether pages meet the site’s publication standard.
Automated review can miss errors. The standard therefore depends on checked derivations, suitable sources, reproducible calculations, and critical review of assumptions, rather than confidence in an author’s or model’s reputation. The editorial standards explain that process and its limitations.
Contact, citation, and privacy
Section titled “Contact, citation, and privacy”Send feedback to report a scientific error, an accessibility barrier, a broken link, or a useful improvement. A page address and a precise description help locate and investigate the problem.
